Salam hormat and Hello to all Pesilat and Martial Artists from around the world.

This Summer 10-16 July 2023, Malaysia is hosting the 3rd Malaysia International Silat Summer Camp . After three very successful Summer camps, 1st staged in Malaysia in July 2018 and the 2nd staged in Florence Kentucky USA in July 2019 and 3rd after the pandemic in 2022 in Malaysia, we are planning to host the next summer camp which is on 10-16 July 2023 again in Sunny Malaysia.

It is my pleasure to invite you to Malaysia to attend the 3rd Malaysia International Silat Summer Camp. World number one's supreme Grandmasters and high rank Grandmasters of 8 renowned Malaysia Silat styles have agreed to teach at the camp. Come and train directly with the experts themselves, the Mahaguru and wakil Mahaguru.
I am proud to announce the supreme Grandmasters Mahaguru Haji Sani Zainal Abidin of Silat Kuntau Tekpi Malaysia, Wakil Mahaguru Tok Mat Putih of Silat Seni Gayong Malaysia, Wakil Mahaguru Mawlid Zaenie of Silat Gayung Fatani Malaysia, Mahaguru Nara Paduka of Sukma Kencana, Mahaguru Clifford Paulus of Sabah Gelombang Lapan Silat, Paduka Guru Johari Jantan of Silat Lincah Malaysia, Paduka Guru Hyiang Tuan Safieyan Mornie of Sika Sarawak and I of Silat Harimau berantai are very happy to welcome you all to Malaysia and teach at the camp.
In this 1 week long compact summer camp, these Grandmasters will teach the fighting science of the legendary keris , the powerful lembing ( spear), the ruthless parang ( machete) , the deadly rantai (chain), the razor sharp pedang (sword), the underated kapak (ax), the elusive bujak patah( broken spear),the secretive Judip ( palm stick), the flexible sarong, the world famous kerambit, the powerful tekpi( Silat sai) ,the still unknown tumbuk lada ( dagger), the world famous Kris@Sundang keris and the feared kapak kecil ( small ax). On top of all these, the empty hand fighting science of silat pukulan (striking) and kuncian (grappling) will also be taught at the camp.

To celebrate the special award received on the 13 December 2020 from UNESCO to Malaysia, “Silat as the Intangible art form of our nation”, I would like to welcome you to my country Malaysia and train Silat directly from the source. It is the safest country in south East Asia. The people are friendly and welcoming. We all speak English, which makes communication easy. All participants must arrive in Kuala Lumpur. Check into hotels in SS15 Subang jaya.
10 July : 9am - 1pm.
Mahaguru Clifford Paulus of Silat Gelombang Lapan Sabah will be teaching the way of the Bujak Patah@ the broken spear at JOKMAS. This is a weapon of the sabah Headhunters
10 July : 4pm - 10pm.
Tourism evening. Malay day. We will go to a Malay dinner home cooked by a family member of JOKMAS. Night sightseeing around Kuala Lumpur. Shopping at the night market in town.
11 July : 9am-1pm
Paduka Guru Hyiang Tuan Safieyan Mornie of Sika Sarawak will be teaching the way of the Judip a secret pocket stick and Sarong at JOKMAS. These are wepons of the ancient Silat of Sarawak in Borneo.
11 July : 4-10pm.
Tourism evening. Chinese day. We will go to a Chinese Restaurant in town for an authentic Chinese dinner. Night sightseeing around Kuala Lumpur. Shopping at the Chinatown night market in town.
12 July : 9am-1pm
Wakil Mahaguru Mawlid Zaenie of Silat Gayung fatani Malaysia will be teaching the way of the
Parang @machete at JOKMAS . This is one of the oldest weapons of Silat of the 1st century Kedah Empire.
12 July : 4-10pm
Tourism evening. Indian day. We will go to an Indian Restaurant in town for an authentic Dinner. Night sightseeing around Kuala Lumpur and visiting the temple in Batu Caves. Shopping at the Indian night market in town.

Mahaguru Nara of Sukma kencana will be teaching the way of the Jenawi Sword and Wali Jantan ( dagger). These weapons are the Mahaguru’s favorites

Who and who?

Professor Jak Othman ( Camp director)
He is founder and master instructor of the British Silat Association , King Tiger Muay Thai Kickboxing International, Silat Tomoi Group, Harimau Berantai Silat International, Gayong Harimau Silat International , Bladetech International , 4 K combative and his own Jak Othman Kickboxing & Martial Arts Studio. He teaches battlefield silat, ancient Tomoi, street Muay Thai and reality based fighting methods at his studio and travels across the globe to promote and teach martial arts . He is the also a college professor and head of the Martial Arts Science faculty of the Institute of Physical science, Culture and Arts Malaysia.
Wakil Mahaguru Tok Mat Putih
This Grandmaster is a student of the founder of Silat Seni Gayong Malaysia, the late Mahaguru Datuk Meor Abdul Rahman. He is one of the top 5 Warriors instructors and the chief Instructor at the Silat Seni Gayong Malaysia HQ chosen by the late Mahaguru. He is the icon of the style. Many Seni Gayong masters today are original students of this maestro. He will teach you the fight science of the lembing the spears. Come and discover the way of lembing, one of silat most respected weapon from the battlefield. Tok Mat will also be sharing Gayong combat empty hands fighting methods.
Mahaguru Haji Sani Zainal Abidin
This Mahaguru is internationally renowned supreme Grandmaster; he has many students across the globe teaching Silat Kuntau tekpi. This style originated from the palace of the ancient Kedah Empire. For hundreds of years, the warriors of Kedah Empires have fought countless battles against to foreign powers. One of the secret of the glorious empire was Silat Kuntau tekpi. In this camp, the Mahaguru will be teaching the way of the rantai @ the iron chain. You have seen and may experienced the Okinawa and Chinese version, come and discover the Rantai fighting science of Mahaguru HaJi Sani Zainal Abidin. Empty hand silat of Kumtau Tekpi will also be taught in this camp.
Wakil Mahaguru Mawlid Zaenie Asjhad Zaenie
He is a Master of Silat Gayung Fatani Malaysia who comes highly recommended by the board of Grandmasters of this national federation. This Silat style is made famous by the late founde allahyarham Pendita Haji Anuar Wahab. Gayung Fatani Malaysia is another Silat style from the ancient Kedah Empire. There are claims that it originated from ancient silat style of Kedah and believe to be one of the oldest silat style of world. Guru Mawlid will be teaching seni parang the machete of silat. He will also sharing the seni tari ( bunga) of Gayung fatani and show how it is related to combat.
Mahaguru Nara Paduka
He is the heir and modern day Grandmaster of the Sukma Kencana school of pedang @sword fighting. Sukma kencana is one of the fighting system of Noble men of Samudera Pasai kingdom in the Sumatera Island. This 300 years old system was brought to Malaysia with migration of Mahaguru ancestor from Sumatra.The Mahguru will be teaching the way of the Pedang Jenawi Sukma kencana a two handed Jenawi sword. A very unique and rare sword fighting sword system from the Malay world.
Paduka Guru Johari Jantan
He is the one of the top 4 Paduka Guru of Silat Lincah Malaysia. An Silat style originated from Melaka.This style was made famous by the late Mahaguru Tan Sri Haji Omar Din Mauju who rebrand the name from Silat Tarah to Silat Lincah.. Paduka Guru Johari Jantan will be teaching the kapak fighting methods which is unique to Silat Lincah Malaysia
MahaGuru Hyiang Tuan Safieyan Mornie
He is the modern day Mahaguru of Sarawak traditional martial arts the Sika Kuno Malot.This style is believed to be in existence for 500 years old. Passed down from one generation to the next from patameng/pendekar familyof Malaot Sarawak. In this camp the Mahaguru will be teaching fighting methods Judip and sidip the deadly palm sticks of the style.
Mahaguru Clifford Paulus
He is the modern day Mahaguru of Sabah traditional martial arts Silat Gelombang lapan. This style is originated from Sabah Headhunters fighting art. In this camp the Mahaguru will be teaching fighting methods Bujak patah @ the broken spear. A weapon made famous by warriors of northern Borneo @ Kadazan-Dusun who terrorized the Japanese Army in close range combat during world War I.

USD $999 or equivalent per participant. Training spouse fee is just $500.
All kids train FREE ( provided one of the parents is paying full fee). Non- training spouses and friends will not be charged-training fees.
